Purpose
Our Mission
To use games and digital storytelling as tools for education, cultural preservation, and civic engagement—amplifying African voices and ideas on global platforms.
We believe play can be a public space—where histories are remembered, futures are imagined, and communities learn together.
Why It Matters
Africa’s stories are rich, but platforms and access are uneven. Jiwe bridges the gap with community, tooling, and mentorship so creators can build sustainable pathways into the creative economy.
How We Work
- Co-design: game jams, studios, and residencies with educators, artists, and young people.
- Education & Research: serious-games tools like USAWA and Umoja with schools and museums.
- Capacity: mentorship and production support for early-stage African creators.
